There’s nothing quite like the magic of live theatre - each performance an electrifying encounter that reaches into your soul and pulls you right into the story.

On stage, when you’re only steps away from the audience, every line, glance and breath feels alive, amplifying the emotion and tension.

I’ve always loved the live atmosphere bringing storytelling to life in real-time, immersing you into a shared human experience that unfolds with authenticity and depth. It’s storytelling at its most vulnerable, powerful, and unforgettable.

Plays

Liink & Zellda: The Misadventure

Back in 2007, I had the bonkers idea to write the super famous Nintendo characters Link, Zelda, Mario and Princess Peach into a play about what game characters do in their free time.

At the time, the concept was novel and it was an instant hit. As far as I’m aware, I was the first ever person at the time to conceptualise and visualise game characters in this (super cool) meta way. Then Disney came along with WRECK IT RALPH a few years later. Sigh.

We took LIINK & ZELLDA: THE MISADVENTURE on tour in August 2008 for three weeks at the London Fringe Festival, and then internationally at the Edmonton Fringe Festival in Canada.

At the time, THE OFFICE was a huge hit so I had the bright idea of recording two trailers in the same style with background on the characters. They are incredibly silly, but I am still proud of all this work nonetheless. Well done, team!

Misfit Madness

In 2008, I wrote, directed and starred in a play called MISFIT MADNESS which combined my love for the online world (not to mention flashmobs!) and the friends you make, encapsulating the complex nature that arises when people pretend to be someone else.

Tricks and Amelia wait. They both have their headphones and it’s nearly time. Through the wonders of the internet, (they find themselves locked in a chance meeting, unable to grasp the strange reality that is about to hit them.

Reality or life online - which do you prefer to hide behind?
